New Logo for Norton Stoneworks

A new logo. A shedding of the skin.

Choosing a new logo is harder than it seems. It brings up lots of questions about identity. How do we want to be seen in the world? How do we want to see ourselves?

We’ve changed logos a few times over the years, each change corresponding to a new level of clarity in the kind of work we want to do and how we want to do it.

We’re based in Brunswick, Maine. While we enjoy working locally in places like Harpswell and Freeport, we work up and down the Maine coast from Portland to Mount Desert Island.

We’ve traveled for projects in the Smoky Mountains and the Grand Tetons. We’re open to more travel opportunities.

We love setting stones in public places. Dry laid stone walls. Mossy boulders, naturally placed. Meandering stone steps and paths that guide you through a landscape. Stone sculpture and public art. Big, natural slabs of stone. Exposed ledge. Standing stones. Stone arches and moongates. Labyrinths, follies and ruins. Creative and challenging stone projects.
