Stone fire pit in Yarmouth, ME.

We’re underway on this big stone fire pit in Yarmouth. Willie is doing a great job with the prep work in less than ideal conditions. Next week, if the weather cooperates, we’ll start trucking in the natural boulders.

We’re starting with a plan, but we’re open to change as we work with the stone and the site. We try to take that approach on every project.

Layout

Looks like a bullseye from above. We painted these lines to see how our plan fits with the site. Things often feel different on paper than in person. This scale feels right.

Excavation

We excavated the site and installed crushed stone for a solid base.
