These carved stone trail markers at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens were another collaboration with Prospect Design. The markers were designed to lead guests up and down the Backwoods Trail. 

On a long trail, even in a controlled environment like The Botanical Gardens, it’s comforting to know you’re on the right path. These markers, carved from antique granite, are solid guides to let guests know they are where they’re supposed to be. 

Some of these guide stones were set at low heights to encourage children to explore the contrasting textures of the polished stone and rough reclaimed granite. 

The materials and organic shapes relate to our existing word in this area of The Gardens.
