On a long trail, even in a controlled environment like The Botanical Gardens, it’s comforting to know you’re on the right path. These carved stone trail markers at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, a collaboration with Prospect Design, are solid guides to let guests know they are where they’re supposed to be. 

Some of these guide stones were set at low heights to encourage children to explore the contrasting textures of the polished stone and rough antique granite.
