FIRE PITS

Stone fire pits designed around existing landscape features. Whether built with boulders already on site, stone harvested from the property, or materials chosen to match the natural surroundings, these gathering spaces feel like they've always been part of the landscape.

Coastal Maine Oceanside Fire Pit

Built on granite ledge overlooking the ocean, using stones that match the existing rock formations. The informal design creates a casual gathering space for family and friends that feels like it emerged from the site.

Westport Island Stone Fire Pit

This fire pit found its own location. As we moved the first boulder into place, it rolled down the slope and settled perfectly against the existing rock outcrop. We left it where it landed, and the rest of the design grew around that moment, blending placed and existing boulders into a gathering space that feels meant to be.

Maine Island Fire Pit

Simple stone fire pit overlooking the Sheepscot River. The design stays quiet, letting fire and water and evening light create the space. Sometimes that's all you need.

Penobscot Bay Stone Fire Pit

Stone retaining wall, granite seating, and boulder fire pit built into ledge formations. The ledge was harvested from elsewhere on the property during excavation and installed to extend the natural rock rising from the shoreline, creating a gathering space that reads as part of the site's geology rather than an addition to it.
